There is something about a crisp white blazer that makes even the most casual of outfits look put-together. Every time I wear this blazer to our office (we’re very casual) I get a comment on how put together I look, and “do you have a client meeting today?” One of best Forever 21 purchases I’ve made to date! (more…)
There is something about wearing bright clothes in the winter, even if it’s already sunny (rarely happens here in Seattle), that puts me in such a better mood. When I was looking for a new jacket this winter, I stayed away from the traditional black or brown and went with this bright blue one and am so happy I did. (more…)
Happy Wednesday! Here is my new hair in all it’s glory! What do you think? :) I have been seeing Chloe at the Northgate Gene Juarez salon for the past 8 years and there is no one I trust more with my hair. I swear I can go in with some photos that look nothing alike, make no sense, and she still gets exactly what I want spot on. If you are in the Seattle area and are looking for someone who can do the PERFECT balayage, she is your girl. Not too blonde, not too orange, not too dark – just perfect :) I usually go for a more “ombre” natural looking balayage, but I felt like being a bit brighter.
I have been wanting a Markus Lupfer lip item ever since I first saw Hallie of Corals and Cognacs wearing one last February. The design is so unique and gorgeous, but I just could not let myself pull the trigger. When I saw this dupe at Forever 21, I about died and snatched it up right then and there.
Ahhh, I do believe that fall is officially here in Seattle. With the intense thunderstorms last night during the Seahawks game and my purchase of in, it definitely feels like summer is gone and fall has arrived. I wore this outfit this past Friday out with some friends for cocktails and bowling. I also got my hair trimmed on Friday :) it always feels great to have your ends cleaned up, I try to cut mine about every 8-10 weeks. I’m hoping to get some brighter color put in here in the next week or so, so keep an eye out for that!
Happy 1st of AUGUST! Wow, like everyone else in the entire world, I cannot believe it is already August. Soon summer is going to be gone, and I am going to be stuck in constant rain and clouds, so I am trying to spend as much time outside in the Seattle sunshine as I possibly can. My boyfriend and I have been spending most of our weekends recently down at Gasworks Park. If you follow me on Instagram (which you should, why wouldn’t you want to?!), you’ve seen me post photos of the gorgeous view, and talked on Twitter about flying kites, reading, and people watching down there as well.
My friend and fellow Seattle blogger Megan reached out to me to each style a piece, and I was thrilled. I love coming together with other bloggers to each style a piece because I love seeing how different people dress up the same thing. There is nothing more classic or versatile than a white tee, so I thought this would be the perfect piece to start out with. How do you wear your white t shirts – with jeans, over dresses, with skirts, with heels or flats? Let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Megan’s blog to see more of her outfits!
The minute I saw this skort, I knew I had to have it. The perfect combination of a geometric skirt in the front, and shorts in the back – who could resist? Did anyone else wear skorts growing up? Going to Catholic school all of my life, I definitely did. My mom saw this and goes, “Oh my God is that a skort?!” I know, mom, I’m so retro.
Another 4 day weekend, come and gone too quickly. My boyfriend and I went to visit some of our friends in Boise, Idaho for the holiday weekend and we had an absolute blast. I will be doing a quick photo post with some pics from my trip here this week, but there was plenty of boating, swimming, river floating, fireworks watching, camping, eating, laughing and sweating to be had. I cannot wait to go back as the weather is gorgeous, food is fresh and local, and the people are so friendly. It was around the 85-90 degree mark the entire time we were there, which was a bit hot, but by the time we arrived home in Seattle yesterday morning to 60’s and cloudy, we were wishing it was that hot.
