This past week (and holiday weekend) has been a complete blur in the best possible way. I turned 25 last Wednesday and my amazing boyfriend took me to one of the best restaurants in the city, Canlis. It was my first time going, and I have to say, it was the best meal I’ve ever had in my entire life. The experience from beginning to end was nearly flawless, and I would highly recommend it to anyone. After the near 3 hour meal, I walked into my apartment thinking my mom had brought over cake, but I was floored when 10 of my friends were also there to greet me! It was the best Wednesday I think I’ve ever had.
For dessert, they gave me a chocolate peanut butter dessert (my absolute favorite combination) with my name spelled out in chocolate. It was almost too pretty to eat.
Friday was my one chill night of the weekend, and I passed out at 10:30 and woke up the next morning at 9:30. Let’s just say it was much needed. Saturday evening I spent with about 15 of my friends dancing at a local bar, and Sunday afternoon Gerard and I went to our friends’ wedding. It was my first Jewish wedding, so it was very different from any wedding I had been to before. It was a ton of fun, and the location was beautiful right on the water.
Gerard and I <3
Monday morning Gerard and I picked up his brother in the city and headed out to their Uncle’s house. Gerard’s parents were in town from Portland, so it was great to all get together, eat a delicious brunch, and enjoy each other’s company. Gerard’s mom even taught me how to drive a stick shift a bit – I’ll save that story for another time.
Monday evening (I felt like this weekend lasted forever which was amazing) Gerard and I went to the Chateau Ste. Michelle winery in Woodinville for the OneRepublic and Sara Bareilles concert. I haven’t listed to Sara Bareilles’ music in a while so I forgot how amazing her voice is. She is also absolutely adorable and hilarious, I really enjoyed her set.
Ryan Tedder from OneRepublic, on the other hand, I am mildly obsessed with. He is so insanely talented it is not even funny. Gerard, some friends and I went and saw OneRepublic 2 years ago at the Evergreen State Fair and it’s so great to see them grow as a group and achieve the amount of success they have because they deserve it x 1,000,000. They always put on a phenomenal show and if you have the chance to see them live, DO IT.
Near the end of the show, Ryan Tedder came into the crowd and I got RIGHT up next to him. I was dancing my face off and loving every second of it.
So that has been my life lately! What have you been up to? :) I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend! <3 If you want to follow more of my day-to-day life be sure to follow me on Instagram and Twitter!
