Are they bows, are they palm trees – who really knows? My initial thought was they were palm trees, but then I noticed two tree trunks, not one, so they have to be bows. Did I mention I found them for $29 down from $80 (AND tax free?!) at the Woodburn Outlet store just outside of Portland, Oregon? Yup. An amazing find a few weekends ago. Another amazing find? The necklace below from the J.Crew Factory Outlet – about $30, regularly probably around $80-$100 if it was in the regular J.Crew store.
On Monday I was honored to be invited to a Reward Style “School Night” event at the Warwick Hotel in downtown Seattle. The lovely ladies of the RewardStyle network came to Seattle and taught us Seattle Bloggers a bit about social media networking, SEO, and affiliate sales. This concept started over in Europe, and this was the first of these events they have started here in the states. I learned a lot, met some fun new people, and had a great time. Before the event, I met up with Amanda and Mollie for some drinks and tapas at a small place for happy hour. It’s always fun to get together with like-minded bloggers in the city, and exchange ideas, talk about events happening, and talk tips and tricks.
Even though it is August, I have been drawn to a cooler wardrobe as of late for some reason. Don’t get me wrong, I adore summer – the weather, the late sunsets, bonfires and BBQ’s, walking everywhere, happy hours on patios…but for some reason I have been getting anxious to wear pants, jewel-toned nail polishes, and deeper bags. Speaking of end of August – it’s my birthday in less than a week! I have ordered a few dresses as birthday options, but if you see a dress you think is cute I’m still on the hunt so I’d love if you tweeted me!
I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday, and I will see you all next week with some new outfits. The boyfriend and I are headed out of town this weekend for some sunshine, boating, and cabin hanging. What are your weekend plans?
