Prabal Gurung x Target Dress | Kensie Jacket | Target Booties | Tory Burch Bag | HRH Collection and Giles & Brother Railroad Nail Bracelets
YAY I’m back with a new outfit! I know that February has been a bit of a fail on the blog, and I apologize as I have been massively busy this month. I promise to make the rest of February and from March on perfection and blogging up a storm :) ps did anyone else think of Rick Ross’ “Snacks on snacks on snacks” when they saw the title of this blog post? Because for some reason that came to my mind when I was creating it. Anyways, moving on…
Do you like this pose? I stole it from one of my blogging girl crushes, Aimee from Song of Style. She always wears jackets and slings them over her shoulders and it just looks so cool and effortless. Thus, I tried. (I saw Kady Herron wearing army pants and flip flops so I bought army pants and flip flops).
I put myself on a ban for January and February not allowing myself to purchase any clothing, makeup, hair products, jewelry, shoes…anything. Well, clearly I failed because I purchased this dress from the new Prabal Gurung for Target collection (along with a pair of shoes…). I saw it, and knew it was the perfect dress to wear this summer on a casual day, to a backyard wedding, to a garden party, to happy hour, or to work. I love all of the bright colors and the way that it fades from opaque floral to minimal flowers around the bottom. You will see my shoes in a post next week.
These photos were taken at the Ballard Locks inside one of the garden areas. I love Ballard (the neighborhood in the city where I was born and raised) because there is so much to do there. You can have lunch or a bonfire at the beach, walk around the locks, check out several boutiques, restaurants, and salons in “downtown ballard”, and there is also the library, movie theatre, and plenty of coffee. You can go rock climbing, thrift shopping, and so much more.
Goosebumps! :)
I loved wearing this floral dress with this floral purse. I thought the mixing of prints and colors was a fun contrast, but still went well together. My bracelets were also a fun contrast with the aurora borealis stone side-by-side the railroad nail cuff.
Spending my sunday having brunch, walking around Pike Place Market, picking up my bridesmaid’s dress (I’m in a wedding next weekend!), and watching the Oscars (obvi). Tweet with me if you’re watching too. See you tomorrow for another brand new outfit, have a wonderful Sunday. xo

I am also on a shopping ban this month and because of that have been avoiding Target at all costs! I know I wouldn’t be able to stay strong if I walked past the clothing section, shoe section, beauty section….you know what I mean. That dress is worth the guilt, I’m sure!
Btw, I love how you quoted Mean Girls. :-)
Exactly. I actually ordered these two things online, because I knew I couldn’t resist other things haha. I love Mean Girls :) couldn’t help it!
I love this dress! We were buried in snow the weekend the collection debuted and so when I finally made it to the store there wasn’t much left. The colors are fab- you look wonderful!
Oh no! I always stay up and shop online at like midnight, because I have better luck and don’t have to leave my house! Thank you so much, that is so sweet!
I really want to wear my coat like that ! :) I need to get some guts! And yes that dress was a great buy….love the ombre effect!
Oh girl, you would ROCK it! :) thank you, I love the ombre flowers. Such a neat design. Hope Dubai is treating you well xo
Love this dress Alyson. You wear it well and I have to say I laughed at the Mean Girls reference :) great outfit! You look lovely! x
HA glad you caught that one ;) thank you so much – HAVE FUN IN MEXICO TOMORROW!! xoxo
