J.Crew Sequin Top (on sale!) | River Island Chambray | Trouve Leggings via Nordstrom | Thrifted Combat Boots | France Luxe Headband c/o
I was inspired to wear this outfit after I saw a similar one on Bows and Sequins‘ blog earlier this month. I saw the sequin polka dot shirt, and knew I had to make it mine. It being on sale, and then J.Crew having an additional 30% off everything pushed me over the edge. I love the look of taking this sequin shirt casual, because when you first thing of a sure sequin top, you don’t really think casual. I love the way Jessica mixes patterns, prints, and textures to turn a regular shirt into something much more versatile, fun, and unique. I wore some black leggings to keep the outfit comfy, and some combat boots to keep a fun juxtaposition against the glamourous sequins. The france luxe headband is so incredibly comfortable, I wore it all day without getting a headache. That is my biggest pet peeves with headbands, are the headaches they give, but the FL ones mold to your head and stretch out throughout the day using your body heat, which is amazing.
I hope you all have a fabulous Monday, and I will see you Wednesday with a new beauty post (hint, think drugstore dupe alert!) xoxo

Super cute outfit! I love how you paired the chambray with the sequined top! :)

Thank you so much, got the idea from Jessica and I absolutely love it!
Too funny – this is my first time to your blog and I immediately guessed that you lived in Seattle based on the pics in this post!! I live in Queen Anne :)
Anyway, I love your take on Jessica’s outfit. I always use her for inspiration; she has great style as do you!
Thank you so much! Ahhh, another Seattleite, welcome to my blog :) currently live in Tangletown, born and raised in Ballard!
Holy cow… you are adorable. I have lived in Seattle for a little over a year and haven’t found any local bloggers that I enjoy. But one seattle blogged linked over to you and I was immediately smitten. I am so excited to start getting all of your posts going forward.
