Different Types of Heels

Let’s be honest; who doesn’t love heels? They’re sexy, make you taller, make everyones posture better, and there is something about them that just makes you feel special. They’re amazing, and if I could stand it, I’d probably wear them everyday. While I do wear them while at the corporate office, I cannot spend my entire day on my feet while wearing them, but I will have to practice that :) Most of my heels are BCBG, Jessica Simpson, and Steve Madden. I have found these brands to be the cutest, most comfortable, stylish and up with the trends, and affordable.

Here is my collection of heels:

While I will not show you all of these, I will show you most. There are surprisingly a lot of different types of heels, and I will go through them with you and possibly inspire a little shopping trip of your own :)

First up, basic black pumps, Jessica Simpson:

I have had these for about 3 years now, maybe a little bit longer. They are amazing and fit like a dream. Some of my most comfortable heels by far. They have a 3 1/2 in heel I believe, and go with absolutely anything. I know that I will wear these for years to come, and they will always be in style. The round toe is so cute too!
Nude pumps, BCBG:

I bought these last summer at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and they are (in my opinion) the perfect basic nude. Like it’s black basic pump sister, it goes with everything and instantly makes everything a little more dressy. Nude pumps make your legs look longer, and I strongly suggest that everyone has at least once pair. I even convinced my coworker to get a pair :)
The Pointed Heel, BCBG:

I have had these shoes for several years as well, and what originally drew me to them were the original heel design, and the color. It isn’t exactly a nude, but more of a pinky nude color. They are absolutely gorgeous, and the point at the end makes your legs go on for days. These look especially great with some long charcoal trousers. AHH love them!
Slingback Heels, BCBG:

These are just so CUTE! I love the criss-cross bow type deal on the front, with the peep toe and slingback. These have a gorgeous snake texture to them, and look amazing on. They are the same color as the pointy nude pumps previously shown.
Peep Toe Pumps, BCBG:

First off, these peep toes are perfection. Look at the rouching near the toe opening. They are grey suede (can you get much better than that in heels?!) and have a gorgeous platform. The best part? They were only $35. My friend found them when we were at the Rack together, and they are a tiny bit too small for me, but at that price I couldn’t pass them up. These look so chic and gorgeous when on, and the suede is a very rich and elegant fabric to have these in.
Strappy with some edge, BCBG:

I’ve never been the biggest “strappy sandal” person, but when I saw these at DSW and tried them on, I knew they were mine. These heels are SO INCREDIBLY COMFORTABLE. I don’t wear these too often because they aren’t exactly the most professional shoes, but they are so gorgeous for a date night out or even a night out on the town. You could easily go dancing in these because they totally engulf your feet and you can hardly feel them on. And the little zipper in the back? Cutest detail ever, however they actually aren’t usable. They are a faux zipper that is just for decoration, but I love it.
Black Ankle Booties, Steve Madden:

These shoes are so different and have so many original details on them that make me excited. First off, suede–love. Next, the little bows on either side are so cute. Finally, they are a peep toe ankle bootie; you can’t get much cuter than that. You can either wear them with some black opaque socks or tights and cover up your toes, or wear them on their own with a little dress in the summer to add some edge to your outfit.
Fun color pump, Jessica Simpson:

I know that I have shown these before so I won’t talk about them too much, but these shoes are incredibly. Purple is my favorite color so you can imagine my excitement when I saw these in the store. The platform is a great detail, as is the metallic print. I wear these all the time to add some fun to my boring black and white outfits. A must-have for me.
The Strap-In Mary Jane, Franco Sarto:

I wasn’t exactly sure how to describe this type of shoe. It is a mary-jane-style of shoe, and the strap really hugs your foot to make it so much more comfortable and wearable for long periods of time. Once again, the purple sucked me in along with the ultimate comfort. They are so cute and I get so many compliments on them!
Party Shoes, Forever 21:

The chunky heel, the huge platform, the fun print; they must be Forever 21. And yes, they are inspired by a Miu Miu heel that was out last summer (spring? I can’t remember). However they are fabulous and surprisingly comfortable for how tall they are. I always get crazy looks from people when I wear these, so do not wear something like this if you like to be a wallflower!
The Wedge, Cynthia Vincent for Target:

Wedges like these are totally adorable and even office appropriate. They are strappy but aren’t made of straw or tweed like a lot of wedges are. These can be made very fashionable and are very comfortable. Cynthia Vincent made a designer line for Target, and I love the Target collaborations because it takes great designers and make them affordable without having a different brand make a blatant copy. Wear these with a flowy dress in the summer, or some jeans and a tank for a night out on the town!
Finally, the Gaga Heels, Jessica Simpson:

These shoes are called the “Dany” and are surprisingly one of my most comfortable pair of heels. They are I believe about 6 or 6 1/2 inches tall, which is beyond ridiculous. They, once again, get a lot of looks so don’t wear these if you’re shy. The heel is amazing and the only word that comes to mind when I look at them is “Gaga” because I feel like this is something she’d totally wear on a daily basis. The platform in the front makes them comfortable to wear all day, and get you some fun looks too :)
That is it! What is your favorite style of heel? Do you prefer heels or flats, or maybe somewhere in the middle like a kitten heel? Did I inspire any of you to go shopping? :) Let me know!

Love the last pair! But they are all pretty. Could you do an OOTD post with those? I've been debating getting but fear they might be too tall :/ Thanks!
